I’m an educator who has been working with students for over 15 years. I am a lifelong learner, and have developed strategies to help other learners work more effectively, efficiently, and have more fun while learning. My work is student centered and tailored to each individual student.
I am also a mixed methods researcher who works on best strategies for implementing literacy programs in schools. My previous research focused focused on exploring how history education shapes national narratives and identities, particularly in the context of historical atrocities, political conflict, and globalization. My academic work combines qualitative content analysis and critical theoretical frameworks with quantitative analysis of global educational trends to understand the interplay between education, memory, and national identity.
My professional expertise is in strategic, systems-level thinking, where I bridge research, policy and practice with an emphasis on evaluation, sustainable program impact, and student-centered thinking. In addition to speaking 5 languages, I have worked in 4 different countries and across the United States. I have worked in international development, domestic philanthropy and programs, and with school districts in over 30 states. I am an experienced collaborator, and am skilled at maintaining research partnerships with communities while capturing and implementing key findings through iterative practice.
